Overview
Run Like a Girl will be a training program for girls ages 8-12. The program will consist of a bi-weekly training session that will prepare the girls both physically and mentally for an upcoming 5K run. We will play games that will help to build endurance and stamina. I will also educate the girls on healthy eating choices and lifestyle.
I hope to begin this program at my kids' local elementary school, and expand to other schools in the future.
This grassroots program with teach the girls lessons that can be carried through their adult lives. Running promotes a healthy lifestyle, which decreases the chances of health poblems and / or obesity in the future.
