Overview

I believe that a great number of the high school students in the United States are not adequately prepared to handle the financial situations they will face in their adult lives. The course that I plan to put together will enable students to gain the skills they will need to survive and flourish in the competitive world.
This program will include the following; educating students on how to enter college and obtain scholarships and financial aid, use credit cards correctly, manage checking and savings accounts, obtain financing for cars and houses, save for the future, purchase stocks and bonds, plan for significant purchases and events, and use sound ethical judgments in these decisions.
Students will have the option of signing up for the program, which will be held after school and on campus. The program will be taught by university students who are studying business, finance, or related fields. The program will also involve school employees and parents.
